Because the boat is propelled with an outboard it can afford to be wider, and because of this extra width you get stability- crazy stability!

There are no foot wells, odd shapes, pedal hardware nor any other hardware impeding movement in the cockpit area, it’s flat and wide open for easy standing.  Getting into the central storage or the front cooler / dry storage is also easy given the open floor layout.…whatever your doing- there simply are no obstructions in your way. Solo Skiff is designed so everything is central, and easy to manage, in a kayak that is as stable as they come! You want to stand and paddle to sight fish ? No worries. Solo Skiffs hull design still lets you easily paddle around with an SUP paddle, kayak paddle, or even use a push pole.Without anything protruding from the bottom as seen on on peddle kayaks or SUP’s you can float in water as shallow as 3” and easily move around.

What about rigging you say? You can load up a Solo Skiff with as many optional accessories as you can imagine- you can keep it simple or customize it, it’s easy.

From rod holders to leaning bars,there are so many ways to rig it out– that’s why we don’t overload it with stuff..so you can do it your way. Solo Skiff has a built in standard grab rail/bar at the rear for handling the boat at the ramp/ beach and safety. The Solo has 2 built in rod tubes. Both rod tubes are sealed to keep water from getting in the hull and allow you to store 9′ fly rods in your boat, with the tips protected. A fly fishermans dream. The Solo has the center large seat/storage hatch that opens up to allow you to store a ton of stuff , however it also allows you to easily reach in, and install hardware like no other craft. You can through bolt hardware and actually look inside the boat easily and see what your doing. This allows an amazing ease of rigging and adding hardware you just cant easily do on a yak. The Solo Skiff has an optional deck port that can be installed on the front deck – this allows even more storage and customization like plumbing of the cooler for a livewell or anchor / cast net storage…its just crazy what all you can do with the Solo.

Now consider safety. The Solo Skiff was designed with safety in mind from the start.

The Solo Skiffs deck can’t trap water. What does this mean ? This gives you peace of mind. No worries about swamping the boat, you cant. Water from a wave runs right out in seconds as there is nothing keeping water in / on the deck. This means no swamping or loss of stability. Solo Skiff meets requirements as set for boats by the US Coast Guard, and has been tested by them (see pic on instagram). With is special two layer engineered hull, and extra floatation blocks Solo Skiffs hull is MUCH more buoyant than any other fishing kayak.
